When was the last time you had a good night’s rest?
If you’re like many who lack sleep due to stress, anxiety, pain, and more, maybe you need a helping hand.
From our Canna Relief educators, here are a few ways to improve your sleep:
- Take up yoga because it may augment your quality of sleep! According to the Harvard Health Blog, a survey revealed that “over 55% of people who did yoga found that it helped them get better sleep. Over 85% said yoga helped reduce stress.”
- Melatonin supplements may help reset your sleep-wake cycle. On a short-term basis, melatonin supplements are considered to be safe sleep aids if you haven’t slept well for a few nights. If you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, have diabetes and/or blood pressure issues, please speak to your doctor before consuming melatonin supplements.
- Consider using CBD to help relieve triggers that cause poor sleep. According to many studies, CBD has been shown to help with numerous anxiety concerns. “Like SSRIs, CBD may also target the serotonin system by helping the brain cells transmit more serotonin signals, which help to alleviate anxiety and heighten mood,” explains Earl Mindell, RPH, MH, PhD, author of Healing with Hemp CBD Oil. Because CBD calms down anxiety, this may lead to improved quality of sleep.
