Did you set new goals for 2023?
Whether you want to improve your fitness or spend time with loved ones, CBD could help you stay on track of your new-year resolutions. Here’s how:
- CBD could help with alleviating anxiety: If you’re apprehensive about working towards your goals, CBD might offer assistance for anxiety relief. According to Earl Mindell, PhD, author of Healing with Hemp CBD Oil, “Like SSRIs, CBD may also target the serotonin system by helping the brain cells transmit more serotonin signals,” which can aid both anxiety and mood.
- Might help relieve joint pain and inflammation: CBD could contribute to reducing pain. In fact, one animal study showed “lower pain and inflammation due to arthritis” when CBD was applied topically, says Harvard Health Publishing. So before a visit to the gym, rub on a CBD-based gel or cream to prevent post-workout aches!
- Might contribute to improving cardiovascular health: Research has demonstrated CBD’s affect on heart health. For example, during a study on 26 men, blood pressure was measured while taking CBD for seven days. “The CBD group maintained lower blood pressure levels in response to stress compared with the placebo group after repeated doses over time,” Healthline details. Additionally, Healthline explains how the participants in the CBD group experienced “reduced arterial stiffness and improved blood flow through their arteries after repeated CBD dosing compared to the placebo group.”
